It’s my 16th day here in Melbourne, been staying in 3 different places (cousin’s, Kingsley’s and Sotong’s). Orientation for us intercampus students started on Tuesday (13^th Feb), it’s been pretty good so far, met quite a few familiar faces as well as new ones.

Funny that I could actually become a “tour guide” to the other Malaysian students in the city after only 10 days here, but then again I had the privilege of being here much earlier than them and had more time exploring the place.

Clayton is really different from the city, not much happening and not many shops around, unlike when I was at me cousin’s place, shops were just a lift ride and a few steps away. Hope the place I’ll be staying will be a little bit more happening.

Oh!!! Its Chinese New Year!!!! Gong Xi Fa Chai!!! Its my first chinese new year away from Malaysia. Gonna miss the ang pows, yee sang, and gamblings haha... Would have missed the celebrations even if I had not come to Melb. My family has gone to thailand for holidays this time around.

It's been 4 days here. Doing fine, weather has been alright so far (somedays hot somedays windy). Havent done much except for looking for places to stay, visiting caulfield campus, walkin 40mins to clayton campus, looking for place mats at victoria market and eating.. haha... no mood to write so thats all for now! :)

Now Damien and Jian Wei are both off... Me turn is next!!!!

Its getting smaller and smaller and does not seem likely to get bigger...

The GotBird family is shrinking... Eugene has went back to UK and now Chee How has just left for the US. Slowly, there'll be no one to play futsal with... 4 more days and it will be Damien's turn, 16 more for JianWei, 25 more days it will be my turn (though i cant wait to leave)!!! Oh well, we'll meet again in a year's time (hopefully), be it in M'sia, Australia, UK, US or Timbuktu!

It's the 3rd day into the new year, nothing much has changed besides me being dead broke. It's been a rather hectic end to 2006 and a busy first 2 days of 2007.

The busy-ness all started the week after christmas. Had to finish editing the movie, plan and shop for the farewell/premiere, then attend parties... hehe...

First party I went for was the Velocity KL music fest which was on the 29th of Dec (from this day till 1st Jan, was nvr home/wont be asleep until atleast 5am). Luckily we managed to finish editing the main movie b4 the parties started. Velocity was alright, nice music, nice drinks, nice company but not really the nicest crowd though was expecting more! It was suppose to start at 5pm but we reached there around 7, should have went later cause the rain caused it to start late, ended up entering around 9... the whole thing finished around 3am and we went to Murni for a light meal before heading home. So slept around 5am (30th Dec)

30th Dec, woke up really early at around 8.30am coz couldnt sleep... must be the effects of the alcohol. Since I was up early, did some preparations for the farewell/premiere, made potato salad (yum yum)... tried to get a lil nap but onli managed an hour of it. Picked up Jonathan from the LRT station then headed to Jian Wei's crib to set up the stuff at around 5pm. The party was good, movie premiere was nice.. Hope those who watched it liked the movie (I've posted the movie on GotBird).. Anyways, after the majority of the crowd had left, those of us still there chit chatted till around 4am. After cleaning up and sending people home, reached my comfy bed at around 5am AGAIN.

31st Dec, woke up at 8.30am AGAIN! This time to play futsal, was reluctant to go but Wei Yeong came all the way to pick Jonathan and me so we gave in to him. It has been awhile since we played so long and enjoyed it, 12 of us in total so we played 6on6. Was rather surprised that so many turned up, after most of us had only went home at 4 somethin earlier. After the game, both Jonathan and myself were dead tired and managed to take a well deserved 3 hour nap. After dropping Jonathan off with Kwan Lim, i went off to The Curve with the missus, eileen and su-lynn to welcome 2007. The fireworks were nice but it took us an hour plus to get out of the area.... Slept at 4am (improvement)

1st Jan, finally get to have a long sleep, was awaken by Elaine's call at around 11.45(was invited for asam laksa prepared by her mom). Sent Jonathan to KTM station at 2 and went straight to Elaine's place for lunch. Went out again at night, this time to Souled Out with Eugene (his last night in M'sia before heading back to UK, just realised that i wont be seeing him for atleast another yr and a half), Chee How, Damien, Jean Ee, Su-Lynn & Eileen. This time came home at around 2 (improvement again!)

2nd Jan, managed to get a long sleep, woke up around noon. Went out with the missus to watch a movie, Curse of the Golden Flower (the movie was lousy). Went out for yum cha and pool with the futsal gang in AC at around 10 and reached home around 1.45 (another improvement)...

Alright.. thats pretty much how I've gone thru the end of 2006 and the beginning of 2007. For those who have not watched GotParted, make sure to watch it at GotBird or sotong's blog or just let me know u want a cd, i'll try to get it for you.

It the final week of 2006!!! Another year is coming and its the time where there are many activities going on, parties here and there and everywhere...

Filming of GotBird's feature film is almost done, preparation for the "movie premiere" and farewell party (both on the 30th Dec in Jian Wei's Crib) is on the way. It is also the time when I get broke really quickly, with all the parties and countdowns... bye bye $$$

Looks like the next chapter would begin in a place called Caulfield just outside of Melbourne City on 1st of February 2007. Most of the preparation towards the new place are commencing well, Visa is waiting to be approved, forms are all handed in, airtickets are booked, only thing left would be the accommodation and some shopping to do.

Filming of movie is still on the way. Hope to be screening it on 31st Dec!

The first chapter of university life is finally over, quite a bit of empty pages before chapter two starts (2 and a half month more to be exact). Wonder where would chapter two begin... will it be abroad or right here?  The answer will be known in probably 7days from today. Hope it do be abroad, its been something I've always wanted since many donkey years ago.

Been rather occupied since final exams ended. Two trips and a day job. Lets talk bout the job first. It was supposedly an ushering job for IBM's Solutions Day 2006 but instead of ushering, i ended up being assigned to IBM's booth where I and another 3 colleagues had to hand out questionaires to patrons of the booth. It was a really long day. Started work at 0630 and ended at 19.30 with only a 15mins break in between. Overall, it was an easy job as the only thing I did was hand out questionaires, collecting them back and giving out mints plus the pay was good.

Penang trip was fattening... haha... spent most of the time there eating and eating and eating but with the company i had, it was enjoyable. =)

The other trip i went was Tioman. Tioman wasn't exactly what I had expected. I went there thinking that it would be a beautiful place, probably even better than Perhentian and Redang, but it was a total let down. The place is pretty run down besides Berjaya Resort (which is where i stayed... they had really good promotion cause of the non peak season). Most of the other resorts looked really... deserted. Maybe be cause its the monsoon season but monsoon season only just started and the other places were so dirty, constructions left hanging, lalangs everywhere, garbage everywhere. The Marine park was aweful, there were only two types of fish (well thats all i could see), sea urchins and no corals at all.. except for some concrete thing they left there (me thinks its the man made corals). Hmmm... top ten island in the world indeed! -.-"

Now that the trips are over, I've been rotting at home most of the time. Waiting for GotBird's year end project to commence (hopefully this friday) and hoping that more jobs would come my way... (anyone who has freelance job? Pay atleast >RM7an hour hehe)

Oh yeah..! Almost forget... I had a 1 in 3 chance to win a new handphone but damn... He and everyone else voted for that girl. He shouldn't have given me that 1 in 3 chance of winning, now feel so geram.
